I am excited to share my Under the Sea themed pocket letter for a swap over at Pocket Letter Pals. I really enjoyed making the altered clothespin for this one. I wanted to make it like coral and underwater plant life. How did I do?
I used Stampin Up’s Land to Sea stamp set for the jellyfish, swordfish and sea turtles with their white embossing powder. I used the Map stamp and silver embossing powder. The fish and “coral” in panel 3 are from spellbinders dies.
I was thrilled with how my anchors turned out. I purchased silver postcards years ago and finally had another reason to use them! I love this Spellbinders Inspire die that cut and embossed the anchor. (I put some in the back as goodies for my partner, they are so cool!).
“Flowers are made using McGill punches (center blue), a Tim Holtz Tattered Flower (orange), and pieces of a flower cut from shimmery white vellum.I added some Distress Stickles in the center of the main flower in the color Marigold, just to give a little extra fun to the flower. I wrapped the entire letter in blue tulle and added navy blue ribbon with anchors on it….I hope my partner enjoys!
